UNIVERSITY STARTUPS & GLOBAL 1000 CONFERENCE

A Conference for the National Research Commercialization Enterprise
Bringing Together Global 1000 Corporates, Research Universities, University-Entrepreneurs, VCs, and Angels

WASHINGTON CONVENTION CENTER, WASHINGTON, DC, APRIL 4-6, 2016

A Key Conference to Attend

The University Startups & Global 1000 Conference is a unique gathering of thought leaders involved in the National Research Commercialization Enterprise. The Federal government annually invests over $130 billion in research and development at universities and federal laboratories. Although this investment forms the foundation for much of our economic well-being, it is ultimately the vision of University-Entrepreneurs and private investors that converts that research into commercial products. At this conference, we bring together this important research commercialization ecosystem, including corporate venture and open innovation groups, the government, top research universities, University-Entrepreneurs, VCs, and angel investors for networking, discussions, and transactions.

CORPORATE COMMERCIALIZATION CENTER (CCC) LAUNCH

Join us on April 5 and 6 at this year's conference and be part of the Corporate Commercialization Center launch. See agenda for panel on April 6 at 9:20 am-10:00 am.

A group of 20 corporate open innovation and venturing groups have worked together for 12 months to create a new venture model to commercialize university and federal lab R&D.The model is centered on finding entrepreneurs who can work with corporates, universities and federal labs to create startups with funding from corporates, angels and VCs.

One of the first events hosted by the CCC will be a University Startup Demo Day at Congress in September 2016, where 35 top university startups will be selected to come to Congress to meet corporates, VCs and angels for presentations and meetings. Meetings will also be arranged between universities and their startups with Congressmen and Senators to highlight the value of federal funding for university and innovation programs.

Come join the university and corporate leaders at this year's conference to hear more about this exciting program, and to join this important, new innovation network.
