A Key Conference to Attend

The University Startups & Global 1000 Conference is a unique gathering of thought leaders involved in the National Research Commercialization Enterprise. The Federal government annually invests over $130 billion in research and development at universities and federal laboratories. Although this investment forms the foundation for much of our economic well-being, it is ultimately the vision of University-Entrepreneurs and private investors that converts that research into commercial products. At this conference, we bring together this important research commercialization ecosystem, including corporate venture and open innovation groups, the government, top research universities, University-Entrepreneurs, VCs, and angel investors for networking, discussions, and transactions.

This conference will include an announcement of the Global 1000: Corporate Commercialization Center (CCC). The CCC is the culmination of 9 months of work by a corporate sub-committee of twenty corporate open innovation and venture groups, along with input from universities, angel investors and VCs at Global 1000 events in Palo Alto, New York and Philadelphia in 2015. The CCC is where Global 1000 corporates and select research universities will work together in a "hub and spoke" model to create and fund university startups based on the $130 billion annual R&D investment that aligns with corporate business units. Attend the Conference to hear more about this exciting development and learn how your university can participate.
