SimUCare Inc. is a company spun out of the University of Delaware. Its interdisciplinary team of healthcare simulation experts, theatre professionals and creative engineers are developing several a unique patient-centered simulation training devices for health care professionals. Its first product, SimUTrach, has been on the market since June 2016. All of their products integrate the use standardized patients (SPs) (healthy live actors trained to recreate a specific patient presentation) with patent pending wearable sensor technology. It will change the way healthcare providers are taught to care for a patients in simulation education.
