University Startups Conference and Demo Day on May 1-2, 2018 in Washington, D.C.
Why Submit?
- Global exposure for your university with multi-national companies. Your IP and startups will be reviewed and scored by NCET2's Corporate Selection Committee, comprised of Fortune 500 corporates in open innovation, tech scouting, research and development and corporate venturing.
- University startups have access to meet 1:1 with corporates who have strong interest in their technology
- NCET2 Startup Development Officers (SDOs) will lead the development of your IP and startup for major impacts and success
Why Submit IP?
- Help patenting decision making based on market feedback
- Provide access to potential corporate licensing
- Help TTOs identify & develop promising IP
- Help TTOs understand corporate member needs and their specific fields of work
- Provide access to corporate members to develop startups & investments
- Provide student development and coaching through NCET2 Startup Development Officer Program (SDOs)
To be eligible:
- University IP that is not currently under license or legal obligation can be submitted
- Universities submit intellectual property for review by corporate members on an ongoing basis
- The IP must be either a granted patent or a provisional patent

Why Submit Startups?
- Startup review and scoring by Corporate Selection Committee and NCET2 Startup Development Officers
- Best scoring startups will be awarded a presentation slot and have the opportunity to be part of the Startup Development Program for further startup development
- Opportunity for discussion with Fortune 500 corporations who have interest in the startup during & after the meeting
To be eligible:
- Your company should be affiliated with a university. Companies may self-nominate but need to include a university contact for verification.
- Only companies that submit online will be considered officially entered.
- If selected, the company and the affiliated university must be willing and able to travel to Washington, DC
