March 21 - "Corporate Reverse Showcase" - Global1000 Presentations SEE THE PRESENTING COMPANIES HERE The "Corporate Reverse Showcase" is an innovative new way for industry and universities/university startups to engage each other. Global1000 companies will present what they need from universities in terms of technologies and strategic partnerships. This showcase is the flip-side of the University Startups Showcase. March 22 - University Startups and SBIR Company Showcase SEE THE PRESENTING COMPANIES HERE Meet the best startups universities based on the $35billion of federally funded research each year. Building on our community of Global 1000 companies, VCs, angel investors and SBIR program managers, this year we started the Best University Startups Showcase. Annually universities receive $35 billion from the federal government to conduct cutting-edge research from which universities create approximately 600 university startups each year. This year we are starting a showcase track at the University Startups Conference to showcase the best 100 university startups as nominated by the universities. This showcase is specifically created to catalyze transactions with the Global 1000, VCs, angel investors and SBIR program managers.

The Annual Entrepreneurial University Startups Conference will take place March 20 to 23, 2013 at the Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC. with an Opening Reception on March 20, 2013. The Conference is organized annually by the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (NCET2.org). The Government Co-Hosts are the National Science Foundation (Division of Industrial Innovation and Partnership) and National Institutes of Health (Office of Tech Transfer). National Venture Captial Association (NVCA) is the venture capital sponsor. The Entrepreneurial University Startups Conference is a unique conference series dedicated exclusively to the best practices for creating and funding globally-competitive, venture-backable university startups. We bring together universities creating startups with VCs, angel investors, SBIR program managers and Fortune 500 technology scouts funding them. The conference also includes NSF, NIH, NIST, DOD, DOE, DHS and other government agencies working on improving the Innovation Economy by increasing the quality and quantity of startups coming out of universities. |
