IMPORTANT UPDATE

BACKLOGGED:
We had an overwhelming number of IP and startup submissions received this round, which has caused a review backlog for both the Corporate Selection Committee and for the new Startup Development Officers.

As a result, we made the very difficult decision to delay the October 16/17 University Startups Demo Day and Conference to a later date to allow time to properly process the submissions and implement the new university startup development model.

We will announce the new date for the University Startup Demo Day and Conference as soon as possible.

We thank you for your continued support as we implement what we believe is a truly revolutionary university startup R&D commercialization platform.
Join us on October 16-17 in Washington, D.C. at the 3rd University Startups Demo Day and Conference!

The Demo Day is more than a conference, it's a startup development platform for corporate open innovation and venturing groups, universities, Certified Startup Development Officers, VCs, and angels to discover, review, develop, partner with, and fund university startups.

At this Demo Day, NCET2 will put a spotlight on the programs below that contribute to its commercialization model -- from IP identification to startup development and funding:

  • University IP Into University Startups (IP2Startup) program, where we provide Fortune 500 companies an effective way to identify university IP and technologies that should be developed into university startups.
  • University Startups Demo Day Presentations, where top scoring university startups submitted by universities and scored by NCET2's Corporate Selection Committee make 6-minute presentations.
  • University Startup Investor Roadshow, an exclusive deal-flow portion of the Demo Day where select angels, VCs, the American-Chinese University Growth Fund and corporates are invited to hear Demo Day companies pitch for Series A&B funding.
  • Startup Development Program, where certified Startup Development Officers (SDOs) assist universities, faculty, researchers, students, and entrepreneurs to create, develop, and fund university startups. SDOs work in collaboration with NCET2's corporate membership to identity and develop the most promising university startups and technologies.

Highlights of the event:

  • Live presentations of 30 Best University Startups and Roadshow companies
