NCET2 also hosts Investor Dinners around these events. The selected startups also have the opportunity to present in front of select investors.

Eligibility:

  • Open to universities and startups located in the U.S.
  • Universities may submit up to 5 startups for review and scoring
  • The startup must be affiliated with a university. Startups may self-nominate but must indicate the University Tech Transfer or equivalent office for verification

Selection:

  • All startups submitted will be reviewed and scored by NCET2's Fortune 500 Corporate Members from tech scouting, open innovation, R&D, external innovation, corporate venturing and various business units (view a partial list here: http://ncet2.org/selectioncommittee) and NCET2 Startup Development Officers (SDOs) consisting of serial entrepreneurs, angel investors and ex-corporate executives (view them here: http://ncet2.org/sdo).
  • Startups will be informed 2-3 weeks before the event if they are accepted or not as a showcase company.
  • Selected startups will given 5 minutes to pitch their ventures to a feedback panel of corporates, Startup Development Officers (SDO), angels and VCs and will receive 5 minutes of feedback on their presentation from the panel.
  • Select University Startups will also have an opportunity to present to the National Angels (USA) in Investor Dinners and Virtual Showcases. National Angels (USA) is an angel group co-founded by NCET2 to specifically invest in university startups [https://www.nationalangelsusa.com/]

For Accredited Investors:

  • You must be an accredited investor or a member of an accredited angel/investor group. Corporate VCs are welcome to attend.
